He looks at me, crimson eyes wide with shock. He doesn't look angry, so I'm relieved that all he feels is a heavy wave of surprise. "I named him Alois James Michaelis," I tell the demon softly. "I gave our baby Trancy's soul in order to save it. He's so beautiful, Sebastian. You must see your son."

Sebastian's face looks numb as I take his hand and gently drag him down to our son's room. His fingers slip out of my grasp as soon as we get to the door. I enter the room happily while Sebastian remains outside. "I-I can't have a son," he tells me softly.

"You do have a son," I reply. "He's perfect, Sebastian. Even Jasper thinks so."

    "It's not possible..."

I roughly grab his hand again and drag him into the room. Sebastian is starting to worry me. What if he hates our baby? What if he hates me for having our baby? It'll be just like it was in my nightmare. I don't want Sebastian to hate me. "This is Alois."

Sebastian hesitantly looks down into the crib. His eyes hold even more shock than before and he nervously reaches in to touch the babe. "He is beautiful." Sebastian silently draws his hand back and removes his glove before reaching back into the crib and gently touching our baby's forehead.

Alois' eyes open wide the moment contact is made. He looks up at his father for a moment before he begins to cry rather loudly. Sebastian draws back quickly and backs up until his back against the wall. Is he really afraid of his own son? I reach into the crib and pull the blubbering infant in my arms. "Sh..." I whisper softly to him. "Don’t be afraid, Alois. That's just your daddy."

"He hates me, (y/n)," Sebastian tells me softly. "We shouldn't have a child. It can't love me."

"He'll learn to love you," I tell Sebastian softly. "You woke him up; that's why he started crying. Don't worry."

"It's because he hates me," Sebastian insists. "Alois Trancy hated me. Surely whoever has his soul will as well...even if it is my own child."

"This baby doesn't hate you," I tell him. Alois has stopped crying in my arms and now lies peacefully. "Hold him."

I hold the infant out for Sebastian to take, but he stands there nearly cowering away from the baby. "What are you so afraid of?"

"I've just got you back, (y/n). Now this child is going to take you away from me again."

"No one is taking me away from you," I tell him. "You're pushing me away."

With that realization, Sebastian weakly holds his hands out to take his son. I place the baby in his arms and watch as he brings Alois closer to his body. "He's not crying," Sebastian murmurs.

I watch with both an ecstatic and relieved smile as Sebastian begins to coddle his child. He brings his finger forward to Alois' face and pokes his nose tenderly. Alois quickly bites that same finger and holds on for dear life. Sebastian starts to freak out a little bit and rips his finger from the baby's mouth. That's when Alois begins to cry. "He's still part demon, you know," I mumble to Sebastian as I take the crying baby from him. "He's probably hungry. Let's go to the kitchen and give him some warm milk."

Sebastian holds his finger close and follows as we walk to the kitchen. I sit in a chair by the kitchen table with Alois wrapped up in a blanket in my arms, watching as Sebastian begins to prepare warm milk. Jasper comes over to me and jumps in my lap just so that he'll be close to my baby.

"What happened to Ciel?" I ask Sebastian quietly.

"So much has happened...but in the end, I am the one left to suffer," Sebastian replies just as quietly. "Ciel is a demon now. But I am obliged to serve him until I take his soul...since I can never take his soul...I am to serve My Master forever."

"Ciel is not a bad master," I tell him quietly. "I am rather relieved that he's alright. It was so frightening to see what Claude had done to him."

"Don't remind me of that wretched creature. For all we know, he could still be lurking in the realm."

Sebastian comes over to me and offers me a bottle filled with perfectly warm milk. "You don't want to feed him?" I ask my precious demon. Sebastian just shakes his head and sits beside me. I feed Alois for a little while in silence before I burp him and bring him back to his crib. "Goodnight, baby."

A warm arm wraps around my torso gently and Sebastian rests his head on my shoulder. "So...we have a child...now we are truly bound for eternity."

"It's three in the morning," I mumble as I begin to lead Sebastian to my--our--room. "Can you save your sentiments for a few more hours?"

"I suppose I will have to," Sebastian replies. He picks me up gently after closing the door to our room and carries me to the bed. He lays me down and lies down right next to me, holding me close to his warm body. "I missed you more than I you will ever know."

"I missed you much more than you think I ever could," I reply, burying my face into his chest.

Sebastian brings the blankets around us as he kisses me on the nose. "I promise that things will be good for us, finally."

I wake up with a cold spot on the mattress next to me. I move my arm around behind me in search of Sebastian. He isn’t there. I open my eyes slowly and sit up, still searching for my demon. There, standing in front of me, facing the window, is Sebastian, holding our son in his arms and singing a sweet tune. “What are we going to do with you?” he asks our baby lightly. “You’re like an interspecial mutt. Though...you are rather beautiful. I think you look a bit too much like your grandfather…”

“My father is a rather attractive man,” I tell Sebastian as I get up. I wince at the the pain from my stitches, but suffer through it in silence. “I think the white in Alois’ hair is cute.”

Sebastian turns to me, eyes holding a bit of shock, and smiles gently. “I haven’t seen your father around yet.”

“He’ll be around here soon,” I reply as I sit back down on the bed. Sebastian sits down next to me, still holding the baby securely in his arms. “Alois loves his grandfather already.” Sebastian lets out a scoff and hands me our son. “See…” I mumble as I take him in my arms. “Alois doesn’t hate you like you thought he would.”

“Yes...I can already tell that he will be much more like his mother than his previous self,” Sebastian mumbles as he brings his lips to mine. “Let me go get him some milk. I almost wish that you had developed breasts while I was away. It would have been a rather pleasant surprise.”

“Get out of here, you pervert,” I mumble as I push him away with my free hand.

Sebastian chuckles and pats me on the head before getting up. “Don’t think I haven’t noticed your birthing hips,” he mumbles as he leaves the room.

“They’re not that much wider than they were before,” I mumble after him. “And I just had a baby. Leave me alone.” I can practically see Sebastian smirking to himself as he walks away from me. Alois coos in my arms, making me laugh. I spend a moment looking over this darling baby for a little while. He’s so precious. Nothing in this world could compare to my baby.

Sebastian comes back soon and hands me a warm bottle of milk. He sits down next to me as I begin to feed the baby. “Could…” he suddenly says after a few minutes. He tucks some of my (h/c) behind my ear. “Could I maybe feed him?”

I let out a soft giggle and place our baby in his arms. “And I was worried you wouldn’t want to be a daddy.”

“If it is your child I’m fathering, then I could have a hundred children,” he tells me softly.

I scoff loudly and look away. “Don’t even joke about that. One is enough.”

“But...that wasn’t the last that we’ll...you know...get intimate, right?” Sebastian asks me without making eye contact.

“Of course it wasn’t,” I mumble in reply. “Are we really talking about this? The baby is right there.”

“The baby won’t be able to understand us for quite some time,” Sebastian tells me softly. He kisses my cheek and runs a hand through my hair. “We need to cut your hair. Remind me to do that after taking care of my Master. He’ll be up soon. The brat is more work than our newborn.”

“We can’t cut my hair. I need to look like a woman.”

“Ah...a wig could solve that problem. Besides...with Ciel's permission...we could easily explain your true identity to certain individuals. Agni has probably told Prince Soma that you are a man.”

    “He knows?”

“Agni is very...capable. He’s one of my few allies.”

“Those two are coming over today...I already need a nap.”

“Don’t worry about Soma. He’ll be too preoccupied with Ciel. He probably thinks my Young Master is dead, just like the rest of England.”

"That's true," I reply gently. "What are you going to do now that you can't have Ciel's soul?"

Alois lets out a soft giggle and reaches up slightly for his father's hair. "Don't even think about it," Sebastian murmurs to the infant. "I already know what you'll be like, you mischievous bastard."

"Don't talk about our son that way!" I hiss at him.

Sebastian looks up at me in shock. "So...you really are a mother now."

"I-I'm still a boy!" I tell him loudly.

"Do boys give birth?" Sebastian teases.

"You understand how complicated my situation is. And I didn't give birth. I don't have a vagina."

"It wouldn't make much of a difference, now would it?" He chuckles at me and places Alois back in my arms. Sebastian kisses his son on the forehead before he kisses me on the lips. Then he leaves the room silently, also leaving me alone to prepare myself and this infant for the day.

“Do you want to hold him?” I ask Ciel quietly. He begrudgingly takes Alois in his arms and stares down at the baby with utter disgust written across his face. “He’s not the same Alois that you remember.”

“It’s the same soul and the same pathetic, vile being,” he replies gruffly.

“That’s my son you’re speaking of, Young Master,” Sebastian tells Ciel as he pours him some tea. His tone is rather calm--even sweet--but I can feel the angered malice behind it. Sebastian really loves his son, even if the soul belongs to someone he cared not for. “I would ask you not to talk about him in such a hostile, crass manner.”

“Don’t think that I will be taking orders from you now, Sebastian,” Ciel spits. I take Alois from him before he can do something bad to my baby. He looks at me with blatant shock written across his face. “(y/n)...I...I wouldn’t hurt your child.”

“You’ve changed a lot since I’ve last seen you, Young Master,” I tell him softly. “I don’t think I ever really knew who you were.”

“I’m not a monster!” he shouts at me. “I never was! And I don’t want you treating me like one just because I’m…”

“Ciel…” I mutter as I place Alois in his father’s arms. “You’re no different to me because you’re a demon. You’ve just become a bit more...bitter than you were before. You never liked Alois Trancy and I don’t want to risk you taking that out on my Alois Michaelis. I obviously don’t care that you’re a demon now. It’s actually quite relieving that Sebastian isn’t at risk of devouring your soul anymore. And you know that I don’t hate Sebastian for being a demon. I know that we can make things work now.”

“No one can know about me...it’s dreadful,” Ciel mumbles.

“Maybe we’ll move to America...we can raise Alois there. You can even go to one of their public schools and learn what it’s like to be a normal child.”

“Don’t treat me like your son as well,” he grumbles.

“I would much rather be your father than your servant, Young Master,” Sebastian mutters to himself. “Then I could easily punish you accordingly.”

“Sebastian,” Ciel snaps. “Hand me your son, now. That’s an order.”

Sebastian’s eyes go wide for a moment and he hesitantly hands our baby over to his master. I want to kill Ciel just for making Sebastian worry like this. I know that Ciel won’t do anything to Alois--he’s taking the baby to prove that he won’t. I just wish that he wouldn’t mess with Sebastian so much. Then again...I used to mess with Sebastian like this…

“So…” I say softly, attempting to break the silence that began as soon as soon as Ciel had Alois in his arms. “Who gets to know that I’m actually a man?”

“Why do you ask that?” a gentle voice calls into the room. The room drops nine degrees* when my father walks into the room. “Pity...I was prepared to live with one demon...now there are two of these filthy beasts in my home?”

“Technically three,” Sebastian tells him with a soft smile. “Your grandson is part demon, you know.”

“Don’t remind me,” my father spits. He comes to stand behind me and grabs my shoulder roughly. “I’m bringing the demon hound inside.”

“Do you see what your father does to spite me?” Sebastian murmurs.

“Stop your petty bickering and answer my question,” I tell the two. “Agni most like already knows, right? That means he’s probably told Prince Soma. Lady Elizabeth can’t know because we already told her that grandiose lie; she also can’t even see the baby because she thinks Ciel is dead. Finney deserves to know. He’s been by my side for quite a while...since the very beginning.”

“If Finney knows, he’s going to spill it to the other two,” Sebastian tells me quietly. “I’m fairly certain that Tanaka already knows as well.”

“So it’s just those three that you intend to tell?” Ciel asks me quietly. He’s a bit preoccupied by glaring holes through my father’s skull to focus on the conversation.

“Would you tell that unloved, impure child to stop looking at me?” my father says rather bitterly.

“I’m simply wondering why you’ve decided to stay in this form for so long,” Ciel replies with a hiss.

“I’m not yet strong enough to change genders,” he replies before leaving the room.

“Honestly, (y/n),” Ciel grumbles as he adjusts Alois in his arm. “How the hell are you related to that?”

“My father is changing,” I try to defend him. “He’ll get better. You just need to forgive him.”

“Some things are unforgivable,” Ciel mutters under his breath.

“Are they really?” I ask him quietly. Alois lets out a giggle and reaches up slightly for Ciel’s hair. “Shall we call you ‘Uncle’ or ‘Big Brother’?”

“Neither,” Ciel replies harshly. “I want Alois to call me ‘Master’ just like his father.”

“It’s not very common for a child to have a family of servants,” Sebastian tells his master quietly.

“Especially when that child has an eye-patch,” I add quietly. “You and Sebastian are rather conspicuous when posing as Master and Butler. Even in America...it would be easy to tell who you are.”

    "That may be so, but--"

"Won't you be Alois' big brother?" I ask him, nearly pleading.

Ciel lets out a heavy and looks up at me. His pretty blue eye flashes pink for a moment--final proof that he truly is a demon--and then he closes it quickly. “I suppose I have nothing better to do with my existence.”

I bounce Alois up and down in my in my chambers as Sebastian and my father attempt to coincide in the plans for this company. We have to move it to America if that’s where we’re going to live. Holloway trusted this company to me; I couldn’t just give it up to some stranger so quickly.

“You’re an imbecile,” my father spits. “We can’t move within the year. My grandson might be half-demon, but there is no way an infant would be able to handle such a voyage.”

“I said nothing of moving, you deaf piece of trash,” Sebastian replies harshly. Alois is not liking the atmosphere at all--and neither am I. “I said we buy the land now and begin to ship supplies to a new factory. There are many already build in New England. Perhaps we could purchase one over there. But we must have loyal, trustworthy subordinates overseas.”

“I think I know a few,” I chime in. “Three, actually.”

“Don’t even think about mentioning those Reapers,” my father tells me harshly. “They have to remain in London--and they’re not very trustworthy at all.”

“No...I was thinking of other individuals,” I tell him with a sly smile.

“I knew I should have destroyed those three,” Sebastian grumbles. He comes over and takes my son from my arms. “They were after his soul once...what’s to stop them from preying on my child a second time.”

“They were never preying on Alois,” I tell him quietly. “Hannah was training them...perhaps you could have them as your subordinates instead.”

“I doubt they would agree to that,” Sebastian replies quietly. “They can’t have my  Master’s soul, they can’t have my child’s soul, and they most certainly can’t have your soul. There would be no benefit in working with me anymore.”

“Perhaps there are other benefits you could supply aside from souls,” I say softly.

“Who are you talking about?” my father asks us bitterly.

“The Triplets,” Sebastian tells him shortly. “They’re a trio of younger demons. You wouldn’t like them.”

“That is the first time today that you have been correct,” my father spits. Sebastian turns to me and rolls his eyes before returning his attention to the plans he and my father have laid out. “...do you think you  could put enough faith in these demons of yours?”

“I don’t...but perhaps your son has the ability to convince them,” Sebastian says softly. “There is still the matter of finding the trio.”

“I don’t want my son around any more demons in his current condition,” my father tells Sebastian harshly. “He most certainly has not recovered from giving birth yet.”

“I am fine,” I tell him. “The stitches haven’t fully healed  yet, but I should be ok. I’m half angel, after all.”

“We can wait for you to heal completely,” my father tells me softly.

“For once,” Sebastian adds with a gentle smile, “I agree.”

Alois lets out a giggle at Sebastian’s statement and pulls on my hair. “Let go,” I mumble as I struggle to get my hair out of the infant’s grasp. His strength is developing rather quickly. I blame Sebastian’s genes.

“That reminds me,” Sebastian mumbles as he stands up and walks over to me. “Mr. Landers, would you mind taking your grandson to his crib?” he asks my father as he gently takes Alois out of my arms. The baby lets go of my hair and reaches up to tug even harder on his father’s. Sebastian cringes a bit, but thinks nothing of it.

“You are rather intimate with my son,” my father tells Sebastian. “As much as I hate to say it, I believe it would be rather respectable if you called me by my first name now.”

“Alright, Ash,” Sebastian says quietly. “Here, take Alois.” He places the infant in my father’s arms and ushers him out the door. “There are certain things we need to fix, starting with your hair.” He pulls me up and sits me down at the chair at my desk. I can see him pull out a pair of scissors out of the corner of my eye. “It’s such a gentle shade of (h/c), (y/n),” he tells me. “But I don’t want to find myself confusing you for a woman so often.”

“Make it quick,” I mumble as I close my eyes. “My father can only handle Alois for so long. We still don’t know how much of a demon he will end up being.”

“I understand,” Sebastian tells me softly. He runs his fingers through my hair a few times before he begins snipping at it. He’s rather quick at it; Sebastian is a demon after all. And we leave the room with my hair looking short. Without the baby bump and the long hair, I might just look like a minutely bottom-heavy guy now.

“Ciel!” Soma shouts loudly as he lunges at the boy. I watch with a smile as Ciel awkwardly returns the favor with a prominent grimace. Soma starts blubbering with relief as he nuzzles Ciel affectionately. “I thought you had died! Why would you put me through something like this Ciel!? Ciel! I’m so happy that you’re ok!”

I smile at the two and adjust Alois in the wrap I have him in. The cloth wraps around my torso and holds Alois against my chest snugly. Sebastian serves tea before standing by my side and watching the interaction as well. Agni flashes us a quick smile, obviously understanding that we’re going to explain my true gender today. Finney, Mey-Rin, and Bard all sit at the table that my father is trying to get Soma and Ciel to sit down at. I sit down in my seat and Sebastian decides to take the chance to sit down next to me. “I think there’s something that needs to be said today,” I say softly in order to calm people down.  “I don’t really know where to begin.”

“Allow me,” Sebastian says in a gentle whisper. “I am a demon. Ash landers is an angel. (y/n) is Ash’s son. Because he is half angel, and angels can change their gender, (y/n) was able to conceive my child. But he is indeed a man. I am not human. And our son carries the soul of Jim Macken, otherwise known as Alois Trancy. We tell you these things in confidence so that we may rely on you and respect you all as our allies.”

“(y/n)’s a boy!?” Finney and Bard both exclaim loudly.
“Sebastian is a demon!?” Mey-Rin nearly screams.

“We just thought that you deserved to know what is happening now,” I tell them all with a soft smile. “I know that it’s a lot to take in. Feel free to stay the night as well. I just wanted you to know before we began preparing our move to America.”

“You’re moving to America?” Bard asks us. He seems rather excited.

“In the future we would like to move this entire company to America. It will be the easiest way to keep Ciel’s identity a secret. People can’t know that he’s actually alive. I hope you understand how much faith we have put in you by telling you all this,” I tell him calmly.

“Well,” Sebastian says with a genuine smile as he stands up. “I have prepared dinner for us. Now seems an appropriate time to dine.”

“That sounds nice,” I reply as place my hand gently on Alois’ head.

“It was a rather nice dinner,” I tell Sebastian as I crawl into bed. We just spent half an hour rocking Alois to sleep. He’s now sleeping in his crib in his room. I get to sleep--finally.

“I appreciate it,” Sebastian tells me as he begins to undress. I take off my clothes as well, but only because I want to be comfortable. “How are your stitches?”

“Hmm,” I sigh happily as Sebastian crawls on top of me. He begins to kiss my neck softly, also taking the time to rub little circles on y inner thigh. “They’re fine, but I’m way too tired to be intimate with you right now.”

“But I missed you so much,” Sebastian whines. He gets off of me, but remains closely by my side. “You were too tired last night as well.”

“I just had a baby! What the hell do you expect?”

“I wish I had been there for your pregnancy,” Sebastian mumbles as he presses his lips to mine. “I wasn’t given the chance to contact you in your dreams...so I had spent so long without knowing where you were.”

“I don’t understand,” I mumble. “I had deliberately left you my Record. But somehow it ended up in Undertaker’s hands before you even had the chance to stop by the Phantomhive manor.”

Sebastian suddenly sits up as though he’s realized something. “I know exactly what happened.” He begins to get up. “I will deal with this accordingly.”

“No,” I mumble as I grab his arm. “Let’s spend the night together. I’ve spent enough without you. Sebastian, you can deal with this tomorrow.” I make him lie back down and snuggle close to him. “I’m just glad to have you here tonight.”
*around twenty degrees Fahrenheit
Somewhere in here I realized that I've been spelling Mey-Rin like, four different ways throughout this entire series. I might fix that in the future...but I am way too lazy right now to bother with it.
I've also decided to stretch the ending out as much as I can because...I want to...

I do not own Black Butler
